Clinical Practice:
Dr Taggu treats (private) patients at Joondalup Private Hospital and (public patients) Joondalup Health Campus. He consults from his rooms in Joondalup.
Background & Training:
Dr Taggu trained at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, Papworth, London Chest and London Heart Hospitals, and obtained his CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) from the East of England Deanery, Cambridge, UK. He is accredited in cardiac rhythm management, cardiovascular CT and echocardiography.
He was a consultant cardiologist in the UK for 7 years before joining Joondalup Health Campus, WA in 2018 and has admitting rights for both public and private patients.
Dr Taggu has a keen interest in research, teaching and education. He is a current MRCP (UK) examiner, and a reviewer for Clinical Medicine and the British Medical Journal. He is a member of multiple European Society of Cardiology working groups Myocardial function, Atherosclerosis and vascular biology, Myocardial & pericardial diseases, and Cardiac cellular electrophysiology] which provide education, expertise and bring together researchers and clinicians to help improve patient care and reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease.
