Joondalup Health Campus (JHC) provides clinical practice opportunities to nursing undergraduates and trainee enrolled nurses. The support of students at JHC includes partnerships and affiliations with metropolitan universities, training colleges and private providers.

Students gain practical experience in medical, surgical, rehabilitation, emergency, maternity and specialty areas (including mental health and theatres), supported by JHC preceptors and Clinical Facilitators from either JHC or the institution. A comprehensive hospital and departmental orientation is provided to all students to ensure familiarisation with the culture and expectations of the hospital environment.

Partnership programs are supported through agreements with institutions through which chosen students are allocated all their clinical placements at JHC. The program ensures continuity in experiences and increases the learning time available to the students, as they are familiar with the environment and processes.

All national and international undergraduate nursing clinical placements are managed through Student Placement Agreements and UndergradPlus Agreements with affiliated universities. As such individuals cannot apply for clinical placement directly to JHC, applications are accepted via participating institutions only. For further information on partnered universities and institutions please visit UnderGradPlus.
