Interested in Emergency Medicine?

JHC is one of the busiest EDs in Australia, seeing 101,000 patients per year including trauma, adults, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology.

We have holiday friendly shifts with plenty of rostered days off. There is also the option of working in Emergency Medicine on one of our country rotations where free accommodation and transport from Perth is provided.

Interested in Surgery?

We have both Resident and Registrar positions available in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, ENT, Vascular and Urology.

Interested in Medicine?

There are a variety of medical specialties available, including General Medicine, Acute Medicine, Geriatrics, Respiratory, Cardiology, Infectious Disease and Neurology and Stroke. Patients with particular needs including Oncology, Palliative Care, Endocrine, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Haematology and Renal Medicine are managed by our General Medical teams in consultation with other specialists.

Interested in General Practice?

At JHC, experience is gained in a wide range of areas including General Medicine, Surgery and Emergency as well as specialty areas such as Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

We have many GP trainees working with us prior to, during and after completion of training.

Interested in Obstetrics and Gynaecology?

JHC delivers over 3,500 babies per year. Resident Medical Officers can preference for a rotation in O&G or spend a year and complete a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Interested in Psychiatry?

Working at JHC gives you valuable exposure to Psychiatry. We have a large Mental Health Unit, in addition to a separate Mental Health Observations Area (MHOA) as part of our Emergency Department for acute mental health presentations. We rotate to Hollywood Private Hospital, also part of Ramsay Health Care, which has a standalone Psychiatry unit, The Hollywood Clinic.

Interested in Paediatrics?

JHC has a specialized Paediatric ward and Neonatal Nursery. Paediatric care is from birth and includes trauma, emergency presentations, chronic illness and surgical cases.

Interested in Anaesthetics?

JHC is a large training site for Anaesthetics. Residents have the opportunity to gain airway experience in our Critical Care year, with a rotation in Anaesthetics or on rotation to Busselton with our Peri-Operative Medicine position.
