Clinical Practice:
Dr Alex Willson is a Specialist Cardiologist who offers services in interventional and general cardiology, management of chest pain and valvular heart disease, including coronary angiography and stenting via the wrist (radial artery), percutaneous aortic valve replacement (transcatheter aortic valve implantation) and other structural heart interventions (ASD / PFO closure).
Dr Alex Willson treats public patients at Joondalup Health Campus and private patients at Joondalup Private Hospital and Hollywood Private Hospital. He sees patients in his rooms in Joondalup.
Dr Willson is a key member of the Joondalup Health Campus cardiology department and is committed to providing an excellent cardiology services for patients living in the northern suburbs of Perth.
Background & Training:
Dr Willson obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with honours from The University of Western Australia in 2000. He completed his cardiology training in Perth before travelling to Vancouver, Canada to complete subspecialty training in interventional cardiology and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) from 2010 to 2012.
