More than 120 new car parking bays for patients and visitors

Jan 16, 2013

More than 120 additional car parking bays are now available for visitors to Joondalup Health Campus with hundreds more on the way.

“Extra visitor car parking bays have been made available to ease our growing pains,” said hospital Chief Executive Officer Kempton Cowan.

“We know parking at the hospital can sometimes be a challenge. As the northern suburbs grow, we are treating record numbers of patients which means parking bays are often at a premium.

“Almost all staff are now parking off-site so we can maximise the number of bays available to patients and visitors. We now have almost 500 visitor bays with hundreds more set to open this year as part of our redevelopment.”

The opening of the new Joondalup Private Hospital in March will deliver more than 250 visitor parking bays including more dedicated parking for drivers with ACROD permits. Construction of a multi-deck car park for staff is underway and opens later this year.

“I would like to thank our patients, visitors and the local community for their patience,” said Mr Cowan.

Visitor parking bays are located in:

  • Car Parks P1, P11 and P12 – accessed via Shenton Avenue
  • P4 – accessed via Regents Park Road
