Clinical Practice
Dr Kwan is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Geriatrician. He has an interest in all aspects of aged care, including acute geriatric medicine, subacute inpatient care, perioperative care, rehabilitation and geriatric clinic assessment. He is skilled in comprehensive aged care assessment and has extensive experience working with the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). His interests include memory disorders, as well as a passion for optimising the care of the perioperative patient.
He consults and cares for public and privately insured patients at Joondalup Health Campus and admits regularly to Glengarry Hospital where he is the Deputy Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee.
He also visits patients at Hollywood Hospital on request.
Training
To further his expertise, he has completed requirements for the Master of Medicine specialising in peri-operative care at Monash University. He is actively involved in Post Graduate Medical Education supervising basic physician trainees, teaching students and junior medical staff.
