Trauma Clinic

Located on-site at Joondalup Health Campus, the Trauma Clinic reviews patients with acute injuries who have been referred from either JHC’s Emergency Department or After Hours GP Clinic.

Who can be referred:

  • Patients who have attended the Emergency Department or After Hours GP Clinic (including Workers Compensation, MVIT and uninsured patients)
  • This service is for hospital referred outpatients only. Unfortunately at this stage, we do not offer a service for GPs to refer to this clinic

Services provided:

  • Assessment by an Orthopaedic Registrar and Orthopaedic Nurse
  • Orthopaedic Care
  • Casts
  • CAM Walker Boots
  • Richard Splints
  • Knee Hinge Braces

How to refer to clinic:

  • Patients must be seen in Emergency Department or After Hours GP Clinic who will in turn refer the patient to the Trauma Clinic
  • This service is for hospital referred outpatients only. Unfortunately at this stage, we do not offer a service for GP’s to refer to this clinic

Costs of clinic appointment:

  • Public clinic
  • There may be a small fee for medical consumables
  • Patients with no valid Medicare will be charged

What to bring to appointment:

  • Patient to bring any relevant x-rays
  • Valid Medicare card
