For Doctors: For Junior Doctors
For Junior Doctors
Joondalup Health Campus employs over 100 junior doctors throughout the hospital, from interns to senior registrars. Many of our junior doctors come to Joondalup on rotation from Perth's tertiary hospitals – the majority from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital with others on terms from KEMH, PMH and RPH. However we also directly employ JMOs at all levels.
We offer excellent teaching in a friendly, fast-paced general hospital environment. Joondalup Health Campus (JHC) is the only hospital in Perth where you can fulfil all your hospital terms for GP training in your PGY2 year. We offer terms in:
- Emergency Medicine (including Paediatrics)
- General Medicine
- Rehabilitation and Aged Care
- Palliative Care
- Respiratory Medicine
Joondalup also offers accredited specialist training positions in the disciplines of general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, paediatrics, emergency medicine, general medicine, psychiatry and anaesthesia.
Joondalup Health Campus participates in the centralised RMO application process facilitated by the West Australian (WA) Health Department. Applications for the 2014 intake have now closed. The next opportunity to apply for RMO positions via the centralised application process will be in June 2014 for the 2015 intake.
Employment opportunities for junior doctors arise on occasion outside of the centralised recruitment process, particularly in our Emergency Department. Please email Dr Chung Wee on email@example.com if you are interested in working in our Emergency Department as an RMO or registrar on a casual, part time or full time basis.
Applicants who live outside of Australia must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
If you have any questions about JMO terms or employment as a JMO at JHC, please email Medical Administration on firstname.lastname@example.org
