In 2016-2017 JHC renewed its focus on wellness.
Hr officer Sarah robinson said she plans to introduce a raft of initiatives designed to help equip staff with the tools, resources and opportunities to look after themselves mentally, emotionally and physically.
“We know that happy staff are more productive at work and by focusing our efforts on keeping staff healthy in every sense of the word, not only will they experience greater
life satisfaction, they’ll also be more loyal and engaged employees,” she said.
Some of the work already underway includes:
A new ‘Warm Up for Work’ exercise program for CSSD and Laundry staff
Group dynamic postural breaks being rolled-out to departments
Offers of discounted fitness club memberships for three local gyms available to all staff
A partnership with Urbi bikes to make it easier for staff who commute to bike part of the way.
