JHC Emergency Registrars 2014

The redeveloped Emergency Department at Joondalup Health Campus provides high quality health care to over 80,000 patients per annum, making it one of Australia's busiest EDs. JHC is in the final phases of a multi-million dollar expansion and continues to grow with the community.

We can offer you:

  • an ideal Emergency Medicine training environment

  • diverse clinical case mix (25% paediatric)

  • supportive Consultant guidance (16hrs/day FACEM presence)

  • high staff morale

  • active education programs with protected teaching time

  • ED Registrar CME (3 hours/week), ACEM Primary Exam (2 hours/week) and Fellowship Exam (2 hours/week)

  • additional teaching modalities: simulation scenarios, clinical skills teaching, procedural skills labs

  • two dedicated Education Registrars supporting web-based and simulation-based learning

  • 24 months of ACEM-accredited advanced training (urban district) and paediatric log book

  • for advanced trainees: non-ED terms including Anaesthetics (3 positions per 6 months) General Medicine (2 positions), ICU (2 positions)

Joondalup Health Campus is currently in the final phases of a $393 million expansion and continues to grow with the community.
